Our mission is the 5 C’s:

Cultivating Christian Community in every Corner of every Campus at Arizona State University.

OUR STORY

ASUnited originated 25 years ago in 1997 when a group of campus ministers began to pray together weekly for God to work among us. One of the results was Rezweek, which began at University of Texas, and eventually came to ASU. This included a week of evangelism and outreach capped off by a Good Friday worship gathering at Hayden Lawn. Not long after, Chris Tomlin and Lou Giglio did a big event. ASUnited came out of that event, and really became at a student movement.

The next step in the story was the founding of LoveASU in 2004. ASU also played host to many memorable events over the following years, including Pete Grieg’s “Take my Life” conference, which took place as a blood moon rose over Tempe.

Veritas forums started 2007, which drew speakers like OS Guiness and NT Wright. In 2009, Ravi Zacharias and John Lennox drew a crowd of 9000 to Wells Fargo Arena, and have since returned with continued success.

This tradition of coming together in large gatherings and events lives on. ASUnited tries to provide opportunities for the greater Christian community on campus  to come together at least once a year. This desire has led to the creation of a monthly meeting of campus ministers and leaders, who seek to find ways to continue building a network of unity of ASU.

Some of the most significant recurring events have been COFAS (Conference on Faith and Science ASU) and the Arizona State United worship gatherings, which take place each semester.

These are just a few of the ways ASUnited has worked in the past. We plan to continue finding creative ways to bring unity and the love of Christ to ASU in the future. Be a part of it!

    OUR BELIEFS

    Our Vision

The vision is Heaven on earth. We want to see the Kingdom of God come at ASU just as in Heaven.

    Our Mission

ASUnited’s mission is promoting purposeful, Biblical unity among believers. In John 17, Jesus prays that believers would be one just as He and the Father are one. We want to see this become a reality, and not for our own good, but so that the world would know that the Father sent the Son, and that He loves the world.

    OUR LEADERSHIP

    Micah Karr

    _

“Thanks to everyone who attended last week’s Arizona State United (ASUnited) meeting on Jan. 17 at the Campus Christian Center (C3). I had asked Micah Karr from InterVarsity to lead the meeting and he, Hannah Karr, and Victoria Sanchez did a GREAT job. So great that I asked Micah to give leadership to ASUnited going forward. I have led these gatherings for the past 26 years and it was time to hand off leadership to the next generation. Sarah and I will continue to be involved and supportive, of course, but new energy and vision will be a blessing to all of us. It’s been a great ride as the Christian ministers at ASU united together have sponsored so many worship and prayer gatherings, evangelistic outreaches, and academic programs that have touched the lives of thousands of people. Praise God!” – Ben Sanders
